第一，初中正是培养学生兴趣的关键阶段，而现在英语课堂的问题就是，学生主观的认为学习英语只是为了应对考试，只需要背好写好便完成了任务，而没有真正把英语作为一门沟通的工具，从而对英语缺乏兴趣。那么在实际教学中，我会通过运用多媒体，向学生们展示英语作为一门世界语言是如何被应用到我们的日常生活中来的，让学生们明白学好英语的重要性，而这些多媒体教学手段大多生动鲜活，能把一些教材上相对死板的材料活灵活现的展示出来，这不仅能够提高学生们的课堂主动性，还能从根本上逐渐提高学生的学习兴趣。
第二，前面提到过，旧有的教学模式只是教师和学生的单方面传授，学生们被动接受，主动性不强。那么课堂创新就需要把民主带进课堂中来。在课堂上，可以增加学生们自主讨论的机会。同时，对于教师来说，面对学生的质疑，一定要谨慎的面对，如果确实是自己讲错了，要及时纠正，承认错误。如果是学生错误，首先要意识到这是一种民主的体现，具备民主意识，询问全班同学是否是普遍性的问题，如果确实如此，就要为同学们即时讲解，避免错过了最佳讲授期，如果是个别的问题，那么要做到认真负责，课下对该学生单独辅导。切忌武断地否定，知错不改。

最近我翻阅了章兼中教授所著的《小学英语教育学》一书，其实这本书是非常有价值的，特别是对于从事小学英语教学的教师更有指导意义。章兼中教授长期从事外语教育和中小学外语教材编写和教学实验工作，历任华东师范大学外语系外语教学法研究室主任、国家中小学英语教材评审委员、*教育学会学术委员会委员和华东地区外语教学法研究会理事长。他的著作有很多，《小学英语教育学》就是其中一部。
这本书旨在研究小学英语教育现象及其规律性，它从课程论、学习论、教学论、情景论、评价理论和科研理论六大方面进行了深层的阐述。虽然看的过程对我来说有些吃力，因为它不象小说一样有很强的故事性，但是阅读这本书使我了解了小学英语的教学原则和外语教学的各种流派。它可以使我的教学理念更加清晰，可以为我日常的英语教学找到切实的理论依据。外语教学法有众多流派，但各个流派都有其优点及缺陷，如何优化各流派的主要共同规律，本著作也有具体的说明。
如：在英语教学中较常用的“全身反应法”即“TPR”活动，其优点是通过身体动作和其他直观手段语言情景，有利于语言教学，在大量理解性听的输入基础上培养说的表达能力，强调情意因素，降低了学生学习的压力，从而提高了教学效率;其缺点是忽视了“对话”这一交际活动的重要功能，不利于交际能力的培养。因此，本著作明确指出：既要扎实掌握语言知识，更要培养交际的能力;在处理外语与母语之间的关系时，强调外语教学，适当利用母语;强调在情景中传授和综合运用语言知识;从强*师的教，逐步变为强调学生的学。“英语教与学”这一章节中详细地罗列出了九项教育原则，如：兴趣性原则、交际性原则、情景性原则、多样式变化原则、理解性模仿原则等。

本学期，我担任八(3)、八(4)两班的教学，根据本学期教学工作计划安排及学生的实际，目前教学工作已结束，现就本学期教学工作总结如下：
一、学生的基本状况：
上学期经调查，两个班大部分学生，基础非常差，有一半的学生连26个字母都写不齐，并且拼写不规范，学习不主动，对英语的兴趣不浓。两班共约有1/3的学生学习态度较认真，对英语较感兴趣，但是他们基础较弱，听写能力有待加强。本学期新生中，英语基础跟原来老生差不多，没有英语方面特别优秀的(均已通过口试调查)，对英语学习兴趣不浓，学习态度被动。
二、采取的措施：
1、认真学习体现以素质教育为目标的新课程理念及学校工作计划，认真研究教材，和同年级老师共同制定了本学期教学工作计划，加强落实、反馈、总结计划的执行情况。
2、教学过程中，注意抓常规教学，以学生为主体，面向全体学生组织教学，注意培养学生的听说读写的能力，充分利用早读时间，要求学生大声朗读课文。
3、抓词汇和句型学习，经常进行听写训练，提高学生对记忆单词和句型的能力;另外从开学初就开始初狠抓英语课文背诵，并利用李阳老师的教学理念“用零碎时间攻克英语”制定了利用课前读英语、背英语的计划并狠抓落实。
4、课堂内外多听多说英语。老师上课时尽量用英语讲课，这样能使学生更多地接触英语。每堂课要用一定的时间让学生用所学过的日常用语和课堂用语进行不同的形式进行对话。也可以结合实物、图片等用英语进行简单的描术，培养学生的语感。
5、抓小测验、单元测试过关，并注重复习。
三、教学方面的经验、存在问题及今后的做法：
1、教的方面：
深入了解和分析学生情况，有针对地教学，对每单元的单词和词组进行了多次强化训练，词汇的得分率比以前高;因加强了书面表达的英语背诵，英语作文得分率有了长足的提高。另外因狠抓落实“学习法”，使学生学习习惯得到进一步改善，我班英语成绩有了较大的突破，*均分、合格率、优秀率均稳中有升。虽然我们也进行了英语阅读训练，但学生阅读能力的提高不大。单选、完成句子的得分率还过得去，但综合知识未来得及操练其他项目得分率就较低。今后，应该加强完型填空、阅读理解和综合填空的训练。
2、学的方面
一要培养学生对英语学习有兴趣，二要培养学生的责任心从小事从感恩开始，并且要用班规来落实，坚持常年不断地、自觉得、随时随地接触英语、运用英语知识，英语成绩就会不断提高。经过一学期努力，大部分学生都觉得英语有进步，以前不要说是背，读都读不顺，而现在还能背些英语文章了。
如果只是为了应付考试，临时抱佛脚地补习，即使可以应付一时，但掌握的知识都是不牢固的。新旧知识就会顾此失彼。
总之，一学期的教学工作自己付出了很多，收到的回报也不少：领导的信任，使我精力充沛;同事的帮助，使*劲十足;学生的渴求，使我信心倍增。我会努力填补自己在教学中的不足，不断改进教学方法。积极开发和有效利用课程资源，更好的为英语教学服务，力争在今后的英语教学工作中取得更好的成绩。我相信有耕耘总会有收获。
